Shrine of God

Shrine of God is a gloss of kami no yashiro 神のやしろ and Tsukihi no yashiro 月日のやしろ in English translations. It is a variant of the more common Scriptural expression Shrine of Tsukihi, which refers to one of the roles of Oyasama.

There are times when variant "Shrine of God the Parent," is used. This has been used as a gloss of "Oyagami no yashiro" (The Life of Oyasama, Chapter Three), "kami no yashiro" (Anecdotes of Oyasama 80), and even Tsukihi no yashiro (Anecdotes of Oyasama 3).
